![]() The lack of sense for the prices on this list go on and on, so I just don't understand why people think this list is so great. Mending costs 0 alchemy points a number of times per day up to the casters level. with the bonuses this thing provides there should be another 0 added to the end of the number. They seek to categorize, utilize, and turn magic into a science. forget that when I can buy a +3 Weapon, AND +3 Armor, AND +3 Shield for 64K (+1, 2 and 3 items are underpriced) I can find better ARTIFACTS and multiple for that craziness for only 500 GP more, I wouldn't buy armor that WASN'T adamantine.ĭecanter of Endless Water. Adamantine Plate costs 2,000 GP and gives AC: 18 AND NEGATES CRITICAL HITS. Though a weapon of warning gives the wielder advantage on initiative rolls, the other ability granted by this item is highly situational for parties that post watches and take precautions to start with, and if your DM doesn't apply these situations with high regularity, then the 60,000 GP price tag is HIGHLY. The base price for Plate Armor is 1,500 GP and gives AC: 18. Some of the prices from the 'Same Magic Prices' list are wildly out of proportion. It is a far better price list the the hand waving of the DMG. The 500 GP is on top of the normal armour price and given the price of a +1 AC I think it is about fair, I will agree though that as with all magic item prices the DM has to apply a bit of discretion but, I have found generally they stand about right for the game, at least to allow a sense of value against other magic items. just wanted to say the list is flawed and not accurate. There are several others like this on the list, but I'm not going to go into them all. critical hits can be game changing and this item cancels them completely for a mere 500 GP ? Yeah, that's not sane at all. Granted it only keeps you from suffering critical hits. ![]() 5 to 10 K would be more appropriate.ĥ00 GP for Adamantine Armor seems proportionately low on the other hand. Though a weapon of warning gives the wielder advantage on initiative rolls, the other ability granted by this item is highly situational for parties that post watches and take precautions to start with, and if your DM doesn't apply these situations with high regularity, then the 60,000 GP price tag is HIGHLY excessive for a weapon that gives no combat bonus what-so-ever, other than advantage on initiative.
